The Villa

a Chicago historic landmark district

Welcome to the Villa Historic District

A century-old neighborhood on Chicago's Northwest Side, the Villa is characterized by parkway streets, stone planters and distinctive examples of early 20th Century residential architecture.

The Villa is a close-knit community of residents who enjoy working together to keep the neighborhood a great place to live.  We are especially proud to be on the National Register of Historic Places and designated as a City of Chicago Historic Landmark District.

The Villa is featured in numerous magazines and books, and is a stop on Chicago Architecture Foundation bus tours.  In 2007, we marked our 100th anniversary with a centennial celebration complete with period costumes, horse and carriage rides and recorded oral histories.

We invite you to learn more about the Villa by browsing our website, taking a stroll through the neighborhood, or reserving a spot on one of our guided walking tours.
